Max Ross leads Stratford AC home at Draycote Water Running Festival

MAX Ross was first home for Stratford AC and fourth overall in the half marathon event at the Draycote Water Running Festival on Saturday.

The course had three distances on the day, with the half marathon setting off first, followed by both the 10k and 5k runners making their way around the gently undulating reservoir.

Ross was among a field of 90 runners in the half marathon and he came home fourth in a new personal best time of 1:26:15.

John Butler was Stratford’s second runner of the day in the Veteran 75 age category of the 10k race, and he completed it in 1:15:50, slightly behind his previous effort at Draycote.
