Forget about league standings, warns Adams

With a new manager Nick Bunyard taking over and giving the usual ‘new boss bounce’, they are much improved and Town manager Adams says Frome will provide another tough examination of Town's three-match unbeaten league run.

He says Stratford are still searching for consistency to push back into the top ten in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier.

“Frome have got a new manager and apparently an input of money and they have been on a decent run,” said Adams.

“They are not a bottom of the league side. They are one of the form teams in the league so we will need to be at our best.

“I’ve spoken about the need to be consistent and this is one of those games where we need to show it.”

With Town in Birmingham Senior Cup action in midweek when there was a programme of league games, their rivals had the chance to make ground as Town dropped to 14 in the table.

It will be a similar scenario next midweek when there is a list of Tuesday league games but Stratford play Kettering Town in the Red Insure Cup.

“Because of our cup game against Coventry on Tuesday, we slipped behind some of the teams around us, though we do have that game in hand,” said Adams. “Next Tuesday will be the same.

“We need to stay in the pack.”
