HOPES are high that more direct trains will start running between Stratford-upon-Avon and London within the next two years.

Moves are being made two and a half years after Chiltern Railways caused some controversy when it withdrew many of the direct trains from the town to create capacity on the line to serve the new lucrative services into Bicester and Oxford.
