Man arrested after head-on collision

A 20-year-old man from Germany has been arrested by police following a head-on road traffic collision on Birmingham Road last night (Monday).

The collision occurred at around 8.30pm between Pathlow and Stratford and the police, ambulance and fire services were dispatched to the scene.

The fire service used specialist cutting equipment to remove roof of one of the vehicles.

A woman in her 40s was treated for multiple minor injuries to her neck, shoulder, chest and pelvis, while a man in his 60s was left suffering from chest pain following the collision.

A 20-year-old man was also checked over and all three were taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.

The younger man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving without insurance and is currently in police custody.
