STRATFORD Town held an end-of-season charity football match to mark the opening of the club’s new stand at the DCS Stadium.

Stratford MP Nadhim Zahawi officially opened the new stand on Sunday, ahead of a charity game where two teams led by Touch FM presenters Ollie Gallant and Simon Alexander fought out an entertaining 3-3 draw.

The game went to penalties, with Alexander's team holding their nerve in the shootout to claim the bragging rights.

The day raised money for the new stand as well as local charity Molly Olly’s Wishes.
