JASPER Foster helped England to a successful Québec International Pee-Wee Ice Hockey Tournament in Canada.

The Coventry Blaze under-13s player, who lives in Bidford, played a key role as England clocked up seven wins, two draws and one defeat before losing to eventual winners Boutin.

The event is the biggest minor hockey tournament in the world, attracting teams from throughout the world, including the likes of Colarado Avalanche and San Jose Sharks.

“It is an amazing, once in a lifetime opportunity for the players to experience hockey at this tournament,” said Jasper’s father, Richard.

“We are very proud of Jasper and the hard work he has put in to getting to play for his country.”
