SEVEN Stratford AC runners featured in the top 30 in the opening round of the Winter Series.

The annual competition features five road races run over the same course of 10.13k (6.3miles) including the particularly steep Larkstoke hill.

Dan Lynch led home the 22-strong Stratford AC contingent in eighth place overall, two places ahead of team-mate Matt Burdus-Cook.

Ivan Sarti (12th) and Owen Goschen (14) were second and third in the same age category and Chris Cond (20), Andrew Cox (21st) and Malcolm Bowyer (30) were all in the top 30.

Stratford AC runners were also in action in the Windsor Autumn Half Marathon and Stroud Half Marathon.
