TWO Stratford boys completed an amazing double by both appearing at prestigious national theatres on the same night.

King Edward VI School pupils Pascal and Yiannis Vogiaridis, aged 15 and 12, achieved the amazing coincidental feat after Pascal appeared at Shakespeare’s Globe in London while back home Yiannis was treading the boards at the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Swan Theatre.

Pascal took the role of Adurni in Edward’s Boys’ production of The Lady’s Trial while Yiannis was playing in one of the sons of Polymestor in the RSC’s current production of Hecuba.

Speaking of the theatrical experience, Pascal says: “I love the whole process of getting to understand the character that I am playing. Performing to different audiences in different locations is also an exciting challenge.

“However, it has been my ambition to be a paediatrician since I was six years old. I think that acting has helped my confidence enormously and it will certainly help when looking after patients!”

Younger brother, Yiannis, adds: “I enjoy performing plays which are completely different to everyday life. Acting has helped to improve my public speaking skills. Eventually, I would love to be a product designer and these skills will help when I pitch new ideas or products.”
