Opening hours extended at Tesco’s Shipston store

Members of the council’s east area planning committee meeting approved updated plans which included a repositioning of the new building and extended opening hours.

The approval means the new store would be able to operate between the hours of 7am and 11pm, every day of the week.

Shipston Town Council had opposed the updated plan, saying the extended opening hours and the reduction in parking would affect residents, while there were safety concerns about increased congestion in Church Street.

Tesco were unable to confirm to the Midweek when work would start.
