The Calathea Quartet is a vibrant emerging ensemble comprised of distinguished musicians from New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, and England. Formed in 2020 at the Royal Academy of Music, where they were coached by Levon Chilingirian and the Doric Quartet, they are currently based in London.

The concert marks the start of the year when Stratford Chamber Music Society celebrates its 60 th anniversary, having been founded in 1964. There are plans for a special gala concert later in 2024, which will be announced soon.
