Tis the season to watch Christmas films




There's nothing quite like putting on your daftest Christmas jumper, grabbing some popcorn and settling down to a great festive flick.

Stratford-upon-Avon's Picturehouse Cinema is presenting some great seasonal selections from the past. Including the following:

Friday, 7th December, 8.30pm – Die Hard

Sunday, 9th, 12pm – The Muppet Christmas Carol

Wednesday, 12th, 7pm – A Christmas Carol (Starring Simon Callow)

Saturday, 15th, 11am – Thumbelina (CBeebies Christmas Show)

Sunday, 16th, 3pm and 5.45pm – The Greatest Showman Singalong

Wednesday, 19th, 8.30pm – The Nightmare Before Christmas

Saturday 22nd, 11.15am – Arthur Christmas

Saturday 22 Dec, 4.30pm– Stan & Ollie preview (plus Laurel and Hardy short The Music Box) Sunday, 23rd Dec, 3pm – Bolshoi Live: The Nutcracker

Monday, 24th December, 3pm – It’s A Wonderful Life

Meanwhile both the Picturehouse and the Everyman will be screening new Christmas film The Grinch, with Benedict Cumberbatch taking the titular role.
