The Eagles are landing...
THOSE that like to ‘take it easy’ to a bit of West Coast rock — such as the sounds of legendary band The Eagles — are in for a treat when Talon come to Stratford next Tuesday, 20th September.
The seven-piece cover band perform their show, Best of Eagles.
It is a production of two halves with the first delivering a laid-back vibe with an in-depth look at the early Eagles roots, before visiting the brilliant Hell Freezes Over and going right through to the critically-acclaimed Long Road Out of Eden.
The second half is a complete change of mood and pace, featuring those classic greatest hits from their timeless back catalogue.
Talon are more than just a tribute act, listening to their versions of Eagles’s songs on the internet ahead of their arrival, Herald arts was impressed with their professional and authentic sound.
The death of original Eagle, Glenn Frey, earlier this year, aged only 67, from complications due to rheumatoid arthritis, lends this current Talon tour extra poignancy.
Co-founder Chris Lloyd said: “Our mantra remains a simple one, to faithfully re-create the music of the Eagles with honesty, respect and reverence, and now with the passing of Glenn Frey it has been brought very much into sharp focus because without him there would have been no Eagles and, by definition, no Talon."
The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £22 from the box office on 01789 207100, or book online at www.stratfordartshouse.co.uk
