Box Tale Soup's Alice in Wonderland comes to Stretton Village Hall on Thursday

A truly magical version of Alice in Wonderland is coming to Stretton-on-Fosse, near Shipston.

On Thursday, 1st December, innovative theatre company Box Tale Soup pack up their bag of tricks and puppets to bring their wonderful show to the village hall at 7pm.

The show features a dozen colourful hand-made puppets, a beautiful set that unfolds from a vintage trunk and magical original music, and offers an inventive and refreshing take on Carroll’s classic. Young and old alike will find magic in Wonderland and make it safely home, the only danger is you may not want to leave! Follow Alice on her remarkable journey, from her fleeting encounters with the White Rabbit to her eventual showdown with the crazed Queen of Hearts. A confrontational Caterpillar, ukulele-twanging Tweedle twins, and an array of others pop up along the way, before Alice comes face to face with her own imagination and perhaps the author of her dreams.

This version of Alice in Wonderland has received rave reviews all over the country — don’t miss it as this is the company’s only date near Stratford. Tickets (£9 and £7) can be bought at the door, to reserve tickets in advance call Gill on 07887 556956.
