Playbox Theatre’s Young Production Company proudly presents Funambulo this weekend, a new family play inspired by the magic of the circus
Funambulo is on at the The Dream Factory, Warwick, as Playbox Theatre’s Young Production Company proudly present a brand-new family play inspired by the magic of the circus,
Written by Izzie James and directed by Emily Quash, the show is a joyful, energetic, and enchanting story inspired by the timeless magic of the travelling circusIn Funambulo, a troupe of performers, brimming with Commedia dell’arte charm, arrives in a town unlike any other. Things are not quite as they seem… An air of mystery lingers and the town seemed cloaked in an unspoken sadness. The circus needs help, and it’s up to the spirit of play, adventure, and imagination to bring happiness back to the town of Stagnatione.
This is a story that captures the thrill of peering out from your window in the dead of night to see the circus lights flicker on the village green. It’s about the excitement of seeing a tightrope walker teeter across the sky, the sparkle of sequins, the beat of the drums, and the secrets waiting just beyond the curtain.
It's a story of energy, hope, mischief and family.
See it this weekend from Friday to Sunday, 16th to 18th May, and book tickets at www.playboxtheatre.com.
