Pick-your-own sunflowers in south Warwickshire and help two good causes

A KINETON farm is offering a bloomin’ lovely way to get some sunflowers and raise money for Shipston Home Nursing and Ambulance Aid.

The sunflowers at Lodge Farm, which is next to Compton Verney, have started to bloom and are being offered for sale over the next few weeks on a pick-your-own basis.

The flowers are 50p a stem, with profits going to the two good causes.

The farm, which is open every day from 10am to 5pm, will also be selling refreshments, ice creams and cakes.

Emma Wright and her daughter Jilly have been running the event – and baking for it – at the farm for six years.

They recommend wearing appropriate footwear and clothing, taking your own secateurs or strong scissors and bringing a camera for a “fabulous photo opportunity”.

Cash and cards are accepted. Dogs are allowed on a lead.
