Free Fun Palace events taking place in Stratford this weekend
A FREE Fun Palace will be offering the chance to get involved in a story writing workshop, crafts, singing and music making this Saturday (7th October).
Organised by Stratford Town Trust, the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust and Stratford Library the event takes place from 10am till 3pm at each of the venues involved.
The activities include:
- Magical Story Writing workshop inspired by RSC winter shows, Box of Delights and A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Royal Shakespeare Theatre, Waterside
- Drumming, singing, crafts and activities with Stratford Town Trust at Crowne Plaza, Bridge Foot
- Print making, writing with a quill and create your own friendship bracelet at the top of Henley Street, delivered by the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust
- Shakespeare readings, poetry, digital music making and children’s activities at Stratford Library in Henley Street
The event is suitable for all ages and participants can collect stamps at any of the locations to receive free refreshments provided by the Crowne Plaza. The trail is designed to allow people to drop in at any time and visit one location or all, though sessions at Stratford-upon-Avon Library will run at specific times throughout the day.

Fun Palaces, which celebrate the skills and passions of local people, have been organised across the country since 2014.
