Alcester Male Voice Choir make a cautious return
On Saturday AMVC to meet for the first time since March. Thisoccasion was made possible under the Church of England Government Guidance enabling St Nicholas Church, Alcester, to arrange for AMVC to sing traditional carols outside on the Church Green for people who were passing by.
Director of music Judith Land organised two different sessions using two sets of choristers – each lasting 20 minutes. The singing was described as vibrant and clear despite them wearing masks and standing socially distanced.
Venue Xpresso Coffee Shop, adjacent to the Church, provided refreshments outside and the event brought the choir, church and community together.
Father Christmas heard about the carollers and unexpectedly decided to drop in to see everyone.
