Alcester Male Voice Choir to perform at Henley-in-Arden Memorial Hall on Saturday, 18th March
On Saturday, 18th March, Henley Memorial Hall will be the setting for a concert by the ever-popular Alcester Male Voice Choir to raise funds for it and the town’s Museum and Heritage Centre.
The 65-strong choir is a traditional English Male Voice Choir, with a strong Welsh influence and a reputation for delivering quality performances that embrace many different musical styles with clarity and enthusiasm time and time again.
Formed in 1974 the choir remains under the guidance of its founder and director of music Judith Land BEM and accompanied by resident classical concert pianist Irina Chagunava, who has performed across the UK and Europe in her own right.
The choir has toured in Europe and also performed closer to home at St George’s Chapel, Windsor, Symphony Hall and Town Hall in Birmingham, plus Worcester and Ely Cathedrals.
On Saturday it will be performing a mixed programme of songs from Lloyd Webber to Dylan that will appeal to all musical tastes.
