Stratford Town Junior Bards enjoy success with three summer tournament wins in one weekend
A successful weekend for Stratford Town Junior Bards saw a hat-trick of tournament wins.
The under-9s, managed by Phil Glover, won the Alcester Town annual tournament.
The under-10s, managed by James Shearman-Payne, and the under-11s, managed by Chris Pike, won their respective age groups at the Tysoe tournament to complete a remarkable treble.
Junior Bards chairman Paul Salter said: “This is a testament to the dedication and commitment of our managers, also the off the pitch support provided by our committee especially club development officer Tom Sidwell.
“Fair Play remains the key focus at the club. As a result, we are delighted two Junior Bards teams, our under-9s, managed by Steve Brook, and our under-14s, managed by Chris Maloney, recently won the Coventry & Warwickshire Youth Football League Fair Play award.
“The awards were presented to both managers at the club’s AGM held at The Arden Garage Stadium earlier in the week.”
