EVERGREEN Roger Wilson bagged a silver medal at the British Masters 5k Championships around the streets of Horwich in Greater Manchester.

Current England international Wilson, the sole Stratford AC representative in the event, finished second in the M75 age category in a time of 23.01.

The category was won by the UK’s number one ranked runner and old adversary of Wilson, Les Haynes, whose winning time of 22.01 was exactly a minute quicker.

Wilson is currently ranked second on the British all-time parkrun rankings in his age group and tenth on the British all-time 5,000m rankings.
