Weekend football round-up
FC STRATFORD revived their Midland League Division Three title hopes with victory over Boldmere Sports & Social Falcons at the DCS on Saturday.
Martin Kendashki (2) and Ben Hill got the goals as Stratford secured their first win in six games.
Alcester Town ran out comfortable 6-0 winners over Perrywood at Stratford Road.
Nick Dance (2), Jack Banks, player-boss James Robbins, Matt Trinder and Jeffery Henry were the men on target for Alcester.
Shipston Excelsior edged out bottom club AFC Solihull 3-2 at Blossomfield Road, while Badsey Rangers were beaten 2-1 at home by Barton United.
In Midland League Division One, Southam United sunk to the foot of the table following a 4-0 home defeat by Bolehall Swifts.
A second-half goal blitz led by hat-trick hero Joseph Obi secured the points for Swifts, who climbed above Southam United in the process.
Chris Conway claimed a brace to lead Littleton to a 3-2 victory over Cadbury Athletic at Five Acres.
Matthew Fusco got the other goal for Littleton, who remain in eighth.
Daniel Byford’s goal earned Studley a point following a 1-1 draw Heather St Johns.
In Midland League Division Two, goalkeeper Daniel Rushe saved a late penalty to earn Earlswood Town a point in a 0-0 draw with Austrey Rangers.
Earls have now gone five hours without finding the back of the net.
