Weekend football round-up
FC STRATFORD got their Midland League Division Three promotion bid back on track with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Central Ajax at the MoodChimp Stadium on Saturday.
Joe Wright put Ajax ahead in the 20th minute, but Dave Poulson's men hit back with goals from Stephen Barrett and Daniel Stokes to claim a vital three points.
The win sees close the gap to second-placed Bartestree to eight points, with Stratford still having six games in hand.
Shipston Excelsior's miserable run of form continued as they slipped to a 2-0 defeat at Castle Vale Town.
Steve Hedderman's side have now picked up just one point from their last seven games.
In Midland League Division One, Racing Club Warwick's excellent form on the road continued with a 5-2 win at Uttoxeter.
Warwick never looked in trouble, cruising to victory with strikes from Wade Malley (2), Sean Kavanagh (2) and Trea Bertie.
Skipper Daniel Ludlow scored the only goal of the game to earn Studley all three points at home to Paget Rangers, while Littleton were beaten 2-0 at second-placed Ilkeston.
