PERRY Macleod made a winning start as Alcester Town boss as his side claimed a 3-1 victory Continental Star in their Midland League Division Three opener at Stratford Road on Saturday.

Elliot Nash, Daniel Priest and Bradley Dugmore were all on target for Alcester, who trailed 1-0 at the break.

Central Ajax scored a late equaliser to salvage a point in a 1-1 draw with Shipston Excelsior at Ajax Park.

James Drinkwater put Steve Hedderman's side in front, but Adam Miles popped up to score seven minutes from time to level matters.

In Midland League Division Two, Romano Graham got both goals as a young FC Stratford side went down 2-0 to Coton Green at the Arden Garages Stadium.

In Midland League Division One, Ross Quartermain bagged a brace as Racing Club Warwick cruised to a 5-2 success at Heath Hayes.

Littleton were thrashed 5-0 by Heather St Johns, while Studley won 4-0 at NKF Burbage.
