SHIPSTON Excelsior slipped to the bottom of Midland League Division Three after they suffered a 2-0 defeat to FC Shush at London Road on Saturday.

Two second-half goals from Tyron Smith handed Shush all three points and send Steve Hedderman's side to their fourth defeat in five league games.

Central Ajax moved up to fifth after coming out on top of an eight-goal thriller at AFC Church.

Lewis Fathers (2), Matt Layton, Adam Miles and Matt Trinder were all on target in a 5-3 win.

A depleted Alcester Town progressed to the next round of the Smedley Crooke Memorial Cup following a 2-1 win over Knowle.

Dean Fisher and Callum Burston-Keeley both struck for the home side, who were forced to play for more than half the game with ten men after Daniel Moy was sent off.

In the Buildbase FA Vase, Racing Club Warwick, Studley and Littleton all exited at the second qualifying round stage.

Ben Mackey, Jamie Tank and Wade Malley all scored in vain for the Racers, who went down 6-3 at Wellington Amateurs.

Studley lost 3-0 at Boldmere St Michaels, while Littleton were edged out 1-0 by Smethwick at Five Acres.
