Weekend football preview

The scheduled clash at Leamington last Saturday and Wednesday's game at Cambridge City were both postponed due to waterlogged pitches.

"Everybody is just so frustrated," said Town boss Carl Adams.

"We've put ourselves in a good position and all that hard work could go to waste with all of these postponements."

In Midland League Division One, Southam United are just five points clear of the bottom and they need to kick-start their season away to an Atherstone Town side that has won the last two.

Racing Club Warwick have a tough afternoon ahead of them with a trip to league leaders Coventry United, while Littleton entertain Studley.

Game of the day in Midland League Division Three sees second-placed FC Stratford head to third-placed Smithswood Firs. Both teams have games in hand on league leaders Leamington Hibernian.

Fourth-placed Barton United are just five points off the lead and they face Badsey Rangers at home.

In the quarter-final of the Challenge Vase, in-form Alcester Town welcome Boldmere Sports & Social Falcons to Old Stratford Road.
