WATCH: Stratford Town captain Will Grocott reflects on the draw with Royston Town

CAPTAIN Will Grocott felt Stratford Town lacked a clinical edge in their 1-1 draw with Royston Town at the Arden Garages Stadium.

The Crows had taken the lead against the run of play in the 26th minute when Matthew Bateman capitalised on Carl Dickinson misjudging the bounce of the ball to square to Cole Dasilva who tapped into an empty net.

Stratford had been dominant up until that point but despite going a goal behind they continued to maintain their high intensity and forced Royston goalkeeper Dimitrios Kyriatzis into several good saves.

It looked as though the home side's luck was not in but 15 minutes from time Mikey Taylor hammered home from close range to get the Bards back on level terms.

As the game entered it's final quarter of an hour the Bards seemed to be on course to turn the game around and come away with three points but several chances went begging and in the end they had to settle for a point.
