U52kg gold for Stratford Boxing Academy's Georgina Ellery at England Boxing National Development Championships

GEORGINA Ellery bounced back from the heartache of being knocked out of the England Boxing National Development Championships semi-finals last year to take the under-52kg crown this time around.

The Stratford Boxing Academy star put on two stunning, textbook and technical performances in Banbury over the weekend of 22nd-23rd October to take the gold medal with a first-round stoppage in the final.

Ellery, who exited at the last-four stage in 2021, has shown that strength, resilience and belief can lead to success.
