WHEELCHAIR BASKETBALL

WARWICKSHIRE Bears recorded two wins and a draw in their first triple header in the British Wheelchair Basketball League on Sunday.

The firsts went down 69-40 to GLL & Aspire Titans in the Premier Division, in what coach Tom Masterson admitted was another learning experience in their first season at the top level.

But the Bears 2nds were 62-37 winners against their Titan counterparts in Division Two South.

The thirds had begun the day’s fixtures with a 52-34 win against Wolverhampton WSC in Division Three Central.

The Bears are next in action when Bears and Bears 3 travel to Tees Valley to take on Tees Valley Titans on 3 November.

The Bears are still looking for a sponsor for the team and also always looking to recruit new members especially female and junior players. Fore more details, contact Bears at info@bearswbc.com or call 07946 518354.
