Stratford's Darren Turner targeting overall British GT4 crown

REIGNING Pro-Am champions Darren Turner and Matt Topham will be looking to retain their British GT4 crown with Newbridge Motorsport and the Aston Martin Vantage next season.

Stratford racer Turner and Topham performed so well last term that the Aston Martin duo could fancy themselves for the overall GT4 title this time around, something which has not been achieved by a Pro-Am pairing since 2016.

This must be taken into consideration because Turner and Topham finished fourth in the overall GT4 standings, despite missing the season opener at Brands Hatch and scoring in just five of the eight races Newbridge competed in.

Furthermore, Turner also missed the visit to Donington Park in July.

With a full-season programme on the cards, there’s a chance the 47-year-old could add another major crown to his illustrious CV. The British GT Championship gets under way at Oulton Park on 16th-18th April.
