Town bring in four to bolster squad
WALES u21 defender Alex Williams could make his second Stratford Town debut tonight when the Bards host St Ives Town in Southern League Premier Central.
The 20-year-old, on loan from West Bromwich Albion, spent a month at the Arden Garages Stadium earlier in the season and is back for a second term as caretaker boss Paul Davis looks to strengthen his squad.
Williams could go straight into the side for tonight’s game as could central defender Kevin Joshua who played a number of pre-season games for the Bards before linking up with Rushall Olympic.
Joshua, another product of the Albion youth set-up, had loan spells at Kettering Town and Waterford in the Republic of Ireland while still on West Brom’s books and then went on to play for Peterhead in Scotland, York City and Crusaders in Northern Ireland.
Two other players have signed for the Bards and are likely to be in the squad for the St Ives game. Striker Cyrus Bruce and midfielder Archie May have both impressed playing for Daventry Town in the United Counties League Premier South Division this season and have been handed the opportunity to impress at a higher level.
