STRATFORD AC duo Jack Sumners and Ollie Cresswell continued their rivalry by finishing one-two in the Under-20s men’s 60 metres hurdles at the Midlands Indoor Championship.

Having moved up to the U20s, barely the thickness of a yellow and black vest separated the pair in the final at the High Performance Centre at the Alexander Stadium but Sumners took first in a personal best of 8.10 seconds ahead of Cresswell in 8.14s.

Sumners completed a gold double by winning the long jump with 6.46metres.

There were plenty of medal-winning performances and PBs for the 12 Stratford athletes.

Adam Farrow proved he is one of the UK’s top high jumpers in the under-15s with a PB in winning gold and also set a PB to win the long jump, as well as a bronze in the hurdles.

Millie Leighton also set a UK best in winning the U15 girls’ triple jump with another PB.
