Striker Bertie returns to Racing Club

FOOTBALL

STRIKER Trea Bertie has returned to Racing Club Warwick as one of two new signings.

Bertie had left the Racers earlier in the season to move up to Step Three side Alvechurch but he is back at Townsend Meadow.

Manager Scott Easterlow has also added Chris Johnston from Coventry Sphinx.

“Trea was told when he left us that he could always come back if things didn't work out,” said Easterlow.”

“The opportunity at Alvechurch he had to take and is one he will be a better player for. He’s back now and can’t wait to get going in familiar surroundings and looking forward to getting back on the scoresheet.”

Johnston has impressed Easterlow as an opposition player with Coventry Copsewood and now Coventry.

“Chris is a player who has played against sides I have managed for the last few season and is someone I always wanted playing for me, instead of against me,” said the manager. “I’m glad to finally have him at the club.”

Racing Club, who lie second in the Total Motion Midland League Division One, head to Studley on Saturday.
