Bishopton angler Stretton Honor catches huge 104lb catfish at Furnace Lakes in West Sussex
THIS giant catfish certainly bit off more than it could chew when it come up against Bishopton angler Stretton Honor.
The 104lb giant was caught by big fish enthusiast Honor at Furnace Lakes in West Sussex on 15th May.
It’s the biggest fish Honor has ever captured in the UK and reflecting on his catch of the day, he told the Herald: “I was over the moon.
“For some reason the hardest fights are with the ones weighing around 75lb to 80lb.
"I find when they’re bigger than that the fish are more powerful, but they don’t fight so hard.
"The plan now is to keep going as it’s a never-ending process to catch the biggest fish you can.”
The catfish at Furnace Lakes is not the biggest fish Honor has ever caught, though.
A regular visitor to Thailand, Honor once reeled in an arapaima which weighed around 500lbs in the province of Ratchaburi.
