STRATFORD’S play-off hopes are hanging by a thread following last weekend’s 39-19 defeat at rivals Bournville.

The result leaves the Black and Whites in third place in Midlands 1 West, six points behind Bournville with just three games to play.

“Mathematically it’s still possible,” said director of rugby, Tom Rance.

“But the odds of it happening are fairly slim. It sets us up for third though, which is two places higher than last season.

"That is still a huge achievement for the club and we should be very proud.”

Stratford are without a game over the Easter weekend and return to action on 2nd April with a home clash against leaders Bridgnorth.
