The Sharks secured 8-0 and 3-1 wins in their two matches, with the scores from Squires and Edmunds, plus Jack Quantrill, providing the highlights.

Matthew Belcher led the side in dominant fashion with Squires, Edward Kelly and Quantrill combining well to take the ball at pace scoring numerous tries in a manner which Lichfield could not handle.

Jago Vialan’s strength in driving the ball downfield and in making bone-shuddering tackles really caught the eye while new boys Sol Moore Ng and Charlie Stowe focused hard at the breakdown and won valuable ball. Luke Conlan carried with purpose and tenacity.

The Sabres were equally dominant, running out 7-3 and 15-2 winners, with some stunning tries, particularly from Charlie Whorrod, Joel Hewett and Kieran Park.

Skipper Adrian Blann and Artie Dobson were immense at the breakdown not only securing their own ball, but also frequently winning turnover ball.

James Cottam's and Joel Morris' direct running, tying in defenders and the subsequent quick ruck and recycled possession, was hugely effective, with William Winter, Angus Lindsey and Daniel Allison instrumental in their support play.

Stratford Sharks: Jago Vialan, Jack Quantrill, Charles Squires, Charlie Stowe, Matthew Belcher (Captain), Luke Conlan, James Edmunds, Sol Moore Ng and Edward Kelly.

Stratford Sabres: Charlie Whorrod, Joel Morris, Aidan Blann (Captain), Joel Hewett, Angus Lindsey, William Winter, James Cottam, Artie Dobson, Daniel Allison and Kieran Park.
