STRATFORD Town have bolstered their squad with the arrival of four new players, while the club are expected to announce two further signings in the next 24 hours.

Striker Lewis Wilson, winger Wilson Carvalho, forward Josh Cooke and defender Jamie McAteer have all agreed to put pen to paper ahead of Saturday's big kick-off.

Wilson joins after a recent stint with St Neots, having previously played for the likes of Northampton Town, Kettering Town and AFC Rushden & Diamonds.

Another former Kettering man, Wilson Carvalho, will offer manager Darren Byfield another option on the wing, while centre-back Jamie McAteer arrives from Bedworth United, having previously played for Coalville and Barwell.

Cooke is a powerful centre forward, who joins after leaving Stourbridge at the end of last season.

Town boss Darren Byfield intends to loan Cooke out to Wolverhampton Sporting for a short spell in a bid to improve his fitness.
