Stratford T-UK win 19 medals at British Championships
STRATFORD T-UK celebrated winning a brilliant 19 medals when they hosted the annual T-UK British Championships at Stratford Leisure Centre.
Last weekend’s event is the UK sport’s flagship event and attracted clubs from across the country.
But the Stratford club stood up to the challenge and finished with an impressive ten gold medals, five silver and four bronze battling out in the sparring and pattern disciplines.
In the seniors, Jason Wright and Darren Stacey walked away with an impressive two gold medals between them and one bronze.
Medal winners for the juniors were Ramazan Dag, Harry Hancox, Sam McGinn, Ryan Clark, Jasmin Clark, Keira Dhillon, Catalina Chavez, Abbey Saunders, Demi Barnett, Sky Barnett and Billy Barnett who collected a superb eight golds, five silver and three bronze between them.
Club master John Archer said: “It is great to have a true British Championships in Stratford but even more awesome is the fact that Stratford T-KD from this little town has continually produced fantastic competitors to compete at national and international level and has once again achieved huge success.”
The club trains every Monday and Wednesday at Stratford's Leisure Centre.
