Stratford suffer final-day defeat as Stourbridge clinch title

STRATFORD slipped to a final-day defeat as Stourbridge claimed the Birmingham League Division Three title in style at the War Memorial Athletic Ground on Saturday.

Dan Such (3-11) took the first three Stratford wickets before they reached 30 and it took 42 from Jim Harcourt to take them to 150 all out.

Half-centuries from Jujhar Johal (54) and Matt Bradley (50 not out) then led Stourbridge to an emphatic eight-wicket victory, with James Urquhart claiming two wickets for the Panthers.

Stratford 2nds' season ended on a winning note with a six-run victory over Stourbridge 2nds at Swan's Nest Lane.
