Stratford Rugby Club president wins RFU award
STRATFORD Rugby Club president Jo Littler says winning the RFU’s People Power award is one of the proudest moments of her life.
Littler attended the RFU President’s Awards at Twickenham, ahead of the recent international between England and Wales.
There were just 39 finalists over the ten award categories out of the 474 nominations across England.
Stratford stalwart Littler won the People Power, Club Volunteer award and was presented her trophy by current RFU president Jason Leonard.
“This has to be one of the proudest moments of my life,” she said.
“I feel honoured to have won, not just for me, but for Stratford-upon-Avon RFC.
“To be recognised at national level is amazing and something I never dreamed of.
“We went on to the pitch at half-time for a winners’ group photo and each winner also had their name and club in lights around the stadium. It was an unforgettable experience.”
