Stoke lie eighth in the Midlands One West table, having won two, drawn one and lost two.

But traditionally they are formidable opponents.

“Home or away, Stoke are always a strong team,” said Rance.

“It will be a good test to see where we are. Gearing up to Christmas, we’ve got, on paper, some tougher games than we have had so far. We’ve got to be ready for the challenge.”

With Drew Pritchard and James Southwell unavailable, Matt Allen and Toby Jones will take over the half-back duties.

Simon Baldwin is also ready to return after his work commitments have limited his involvement so far.

Simon Brain is on the rehab trail as he recovers from a damaged knee sustained in the victory over Kenilworth.
