Stratford juniors battle rivals and tough conditions

STRATFORD-upon-Avon Boat Club’s junior crews faced a mix of conditions to record encouraging performances in the Long Distance Sculls at Henley-on-Thames.

The annual event, over three kilometres attracts top clubs and schools from across the country.

But the competitors faced a mix of sunshine, wind and hail.

Stratford’s WJ15 double scull of Amelie Sartain and Sophie Elstone finished third in their race and the double scull of Harriet Hodgson and Will Clarke were fifth.
