Stratford AC's Williams equals British record

PAULA Williams of Stratford Athletics Club equalled the British W45 javelin record to earn a bronze medal at the World Masters Athletics Championships in Malaga on Tuesday.
The multi-talented athlete had been sitting in fifth place after the first four rounds of the competition, but she pulled out a lifetime best of 38.65m in the penultimate round to move into third place, where she stayed for the remainder of the competition.
The championships started on 4th September and run until Sunday.
