Singh sinks Titans with five-goal show

SUNDAY FOOTBALL

MANI Singh bagged five goals to help Alcester Town Sunday power to an 11-1 win at Fairfield Titans in the Evesham Sunday League Division Three.

Carl Reynolds also netted four times while Dominic Hogan and Jordan Reilly added to the tally to push Alcester to third in the table.

Division Three leaders Stratford HGC progressed in the Evesham Hospital Cup with a 3-0 win at Bredon.

Sam Jalowiecki (2) and Mat Barbor were their goalscorers.

But there was double cup disappointment for Stour Excelsior.

Owen Clarke netted for Excelsior firsts but they bowed out of the Evesham Hospital Cup with a 4-1 home defeat to New Inn Pershore.

Stour Reserves also exited the Hospital Junior Cup after being edged out 4-3 at Ashton. They were 2-1 ahead at half-time but goals from Alex Gregg, Elliot Wright and Tom Grace were not enough.
