Sibling success at Stratford Triathlon Club

STRATFORD Tri Club’s juniors ended their season in sparkling form at the Brackley Triathlon.

Hope Lawton, in the Tristar 3 category, managed a season’s best finish of third place (35.33) over a 300m swim, 6km bike and 2.4km run.

In the competitive Tristar 2, 11-year-old Ellie Deaner secured her first place of the season over the 200m swim, 4km bike and 1.8km run, finishing in 25.03.

Also on the podium for the first time was Charlotte Marshall (3rd, 26.37). Freya Fines-Allen (27.49) finished sixth with a terrific run boosting her position.

Tristar 1 saw a well-fought boys’ race over 150m swim, 2km bike and 1.2km run.

Nine-year-old Jake Deaner matched his sister’s success to claim first (15.30). Oscar Fines-Allen was third (16.46).

The youngest age category, Tristar Start, was won by eight-year-old Juliette Marshall (9.46). Her fine cycling leg secured her lead in the 50m swim, 1km bike and 600m run.
