Shipston roar back with second-half revival

RUGBY UNION

SHIPSTON-ON-STOUR rallied from 14-3 down to power past neighbours Alcester 25-14 in their Midlands Three West (South) fixture.

Two tries from Matt Ashby gave Alcester the early advantage.

But Shipston responded with 22 unanswered points to take the victory, with tries from Harry Clark, William Gasson and Karl Slatter.

Claverdon swept aside hosts Coventrians 47-3 away from home in Midlands Four West (South).

New centre Al Holden, James Barton (2), Tom Johnson, Jimbo Williams and Will Lawton grabbed the tries.
