Shipston put on the style ready for RFU Senior Vase test

SHIPSTON-ON-STOUR warmed up for Saturday’s RFU Senior Vase tie against Old Saltleians with their best performance of the season.

The Rams swept asde hosts Woodrush 59-7 to keep up their push for promotion from Midlands Three West (South). They now third in the table, but with a game in hand on leaders Old Leamingtonians.

The focus on Saturday turns to the Vase when they welcome Old Saltleians to Mayo Road. Kick-off is 2.15pm.

Alcester will feel they let Pinley off the hook as they went down 24-3 to the visitors in Midlands Three West (South).

Max Biltcliffe kicked a penalty to give Alcester the lead but Pinley led 7-3 at half-time and added three tries in the second period, despite three times being reduced to 14 players.

Alcester have no game this weekend.
