Roberts sent off as Town lose to Dunstable

Soon after Edwin Ahenkorah was crowded out as he tried to make room for a shot on the right before Dunstable went ahead with the best move of the match so far in the 37th minute.

Connor Calcutt reached the byline down the left and squared the ball across the six yard box for Adam Watkins to lash it past the helpless Andy Kemp.

Ahenkorah went close for Town in the opening minute of the second half, but any chance of Town getting something from the game disappeared in the 68th minute when Jack Roberts was shown a straight red card after an off-the-ball incident.

Dunstable doubled their lead in the 70th minute when Danny Talbot was brought down by Liam Francis a yard or so inside the penalty area and got up to fire from the spot-kick and substitute Gary Wharton hit their third with an emphatic finish with five minutes to go.

On a disappointing night, Town’s only response came in added time when Tyrone Fagan prodded home from close range after Charlie Faulkner's effort came back off the post.
