Robbins calls for progress at Alcester
That turnaround coincided with the arrival of several new faces.
In came former Leamington Hibernian trio Matt Trinder, Adam Trinder and John Beacham, while ex-Racing Club Warwick skipper Mark Briggs also signed on.
“Since I took over in the summer, it has been a continuous learning curve for me,” said player-boss Robbins, who is in his first season of management at Stratford Road.
“I loved my time here last season as a player. I didn’t want to see the first team fold, which is why I took it on.
“Tom Milward (assistant manager) and myself are ambitious, we want to see this club move forward and hopefully people can see the things we have put in place both on and off the field.
“We won’t settle for being a good little division three club — we want to progress.
“We are in good form at the moment and long may it continue.”
Alcester will look to continue their excellent run of form this weekend when they take on Boldmere Sports & Social Falcons in the Challenge Vase at Stratford Road.
Town return to league action the following weekend at Burntwood.
