Lower Quinton youngster Hayden Renardson joins Aston Villa from Birmingham City
YOUNGSTER Hayden Renardson has swapped Birmingham City for Aston Villa to continue his dream to become a professional footballer.
The 11-year-old had been with the Blues since the age of six but has now signed an academy contract at Villa.
He will be playing in the U12s squad this season.
“It’s exciting to start a new adventure and a new chapter in my football journey,” said Hayden, who is starting high school at Chipping Campden School in September after going to St Catherine’s Catholic School.
“My hope is to become a professional footballer but for now I want to focus on working hard, learning a lot, and enjoying the opportunity and the experience.”
Hayden started training with Go4Goals at just two years old and has played for Norton Lindsey Juniors, Hampton and West Brom All Blacks.
He loves his sport, having played rugby at Shipston, and also enjoys cross-country running and was placed fourth at the Nationals this year.
