Praise from Bees boss as side progress in cup

STUDLEY manager Mike Fowler praised players at either end of the field as his side beat league rivals Highgate United in the opening round of the Birmingham Senior Cup.

Zac Guinan and debutant Fin Holmes shared the goals in a 4-2 victory but the Bees had to hang on at the end with keeper Brendan Bunn forced into a number of important saves.

The Bees boss said: “I thought it was a really tough game and we expected that to be the case. Highgate knew what we were about and they really threw everything at us. It could have been seven-all.
